I have redesigned the homepage because this template I created really sucked so I decided to throw it all over. This new template looks decent I guess, and I've decided to allocate the general navigation to the header, and the sub-navigation inside the topic (software/music/about) you clicked is defined as editable region on the left sidebar.

I've also decided to ditch old categories and add two new ones: Music and About. Music is my personal and official attempt to gather all pieces of music I have created (regardless of platform) including needed tools to replay them on your computer. The "About" section is a place where you can not only find contact details but also alot of personal details, pictures of meetings or computer parties I've attended, and more.

You probably noticed that one affiliate is missing from the right sidebar, which is "RetroHack". The site was officially closed a few months ago.

What is your standpoint concerning software releases?

I have decided to address this subject very quickly as I have noticed that a new sound engine for the Mega Drive that's coming sometime in 2010 requires you to sign a license and NDA. Why? I have no idea. My standpoint to this is that every piece of software created that is related to old video game or computer systems should be free to download, without having to sign things and preferrably be open source. While being open source is a problem for many people, which I respect, I would at least say that you should share your program openly, to make people happy with it. I, for one, support open releases and open source, which is why I decided to release the sources (even if it's a PowerBASIC or Visual Basic program) to all programs I create that see a release. SWCTool will see a source release aswell, depending on if I can get off my arse and finish it.

Coming soon software:

* PicoInstall

PicoInstall is a tiny install framework that allows you to create install programs with simple clicks! It will soon see a DOS, Windows (9x, NT, 2000/XP, Vista/7) and Linux release. It is designed to be a freeware alternative to costy install creators and to be a easy to use alternative to NSIS. NSIS has more features, but even I can't figure it out.

EST Release date: December 10, 2009

* SWCTool

I'm probably the only one who is going to use this tool, but let me explain it anyway: SWCTool is a program that performs a variety of functions with SNES ROMs, for usage with a copier device called "Super Wild Card", without needing to fiddle around with command line parameters.

EST Release date: Christmas 2009
